Campaign Young Gunz

You’re probably always reading about how children don’t get enough exercise these days - well, that problem can be solved in one fell swoop and without them even realising it!

We all know kids can be some of the hardest people to please. So while a cosy trip to MacDonalds or a local museum might seem like a good suggestion for little Tommy’s birthday party, rest assured, he and his mates will have a totally different idea. That idea may involve splatting each other with paint whilst simultaneously rolling around in as much mud as possible! In short, your kids want to go Paintballing! And why not? Paintball is an excellent way for your kids and their mates to let off steam in the fresh air.

So don’t look at Paintball as a rough and ready day out, look at it as a game of football with paint. Not only that, they will be given a full briefing before the games begin, telling them that they must always listen to the site marshals and that safety comes first. In short, not only will your kids have a great day out, but they will get some exercise, together with a sense of responsibility, teamwork and discipline, and they won’t even realise it!

Parents Frequently Asked Questions

Will they be safe?
Safety is our main priority; all games are fully supervised by our expert marshalling staff, and the safety equipment we provide is second to none. The most important rule enforced is eye safety – goggles must never be removed on the field of play. Marshals patrol the field to ensure the safety rules are adhered to and everyone is playing fairly.
How many people do we need for a paintball game?
You can come with any number as we put groups of a similar age together to make up teams on the day. If you have a  group of 25 or more you can have your own private paintball party.
Do you split groups up?
No. All groups stay together
How many paintballs do we need?
Average use for the day is 400 — 500 paintballs per person. There is little point in trying to make 100 paintballs last a whole day, as kids being kids; they will blast away at everything that moves!
What happens on the day?
At the start of the day all players receive a full safety briefing and equipment demonstration. Then prior to each game, players receive a specific mission briefing so they know what the objective of that game is. During the day they will play a total of approximately 7-9 games on various zones, with a break back at base camp after every 2 games.
What do you provide for lunch?
Included in the game fee is the famous Campaign BBQ. A hearty 1/4 pound ‘Jungle burger’ or Vegetarian Spicy Bean Burger together with salad, cheese and all the trimmings (during the winter season we also serve a warming soup) plus free tea, coffee and sometimes hot chocolate. There is also a shop open all day selling snacks, crisps and cold drinks.
Do parents need to stay at the venue?
No. Feel free to drop them off safe in the knowledge that when you pick them up at the end of the day, they may be a bit muddy, but they will also be exhilarated and hopefully worn out! However, for the very young ones (ie 10 year olds) it may be useful for one parent to be there for the first hour, just to help with getting them kitted out, tying shoe laces etc.
How far are you from London?
Campaign Paintball is only half an hours drive from London down the A3 and conveniently situated only 2 minutes from J10 of the M25. The nearest paintball London venue.
What do they need to bring?
Footwear, ideally with ankle support and grip, but old trainers are most commonly worn. All juniors are issued with overalls and body armour, so underneath, casual clothes should be worn. In winter, lightweight gloves and a beenie hat may also be useful.
Can a Dad (or Mum) join in on a Junior paintball day?
Yes, but we restrict the number to 1 per group. If there are more adults than this you may have to play in the adult games. Adults playing with kids must understand it is the childrens day and not theirs. Dads are allowed to play as a supervisory 'Generals' role and must stay at the back. Any dads getting carried away will be asked not to play.
Does it hurt when you get shot?
The balls are made of gelatin and filled with harmless water based dye, which are designed to split on impact. There can be a slight sting if hit by a paintball at close range and occasionally the odd bruise can occur, but all this adds to the excitement of the day. Campaign use only top quality paintballs and offer ‘body armour’ which reduces this problem.
But we have never played before!
Not a problem. Full instruction is given. The paintball markers (guns) are semi-automatic which fire paintballs with compressed air. They are very simple to use, just aim and fire. Your technique will improve significantly as the day goes on.
What are the times?
Please arrive at 09.30 prompt. The day ends approximately 4pm.
Can we bring a birthday cake?
No problem, we can look after it for you until it is required or bring with you when you return to have it ready when they finish the last game.
Do you send out birthday / Christmas vouchers?
Yes, Paintball vouchers can be purchased over the phone and sent out the same day. Junior all-inclusive packages of £24.95 & £34.95 available.
What about under 10 year olds?
Unfortunately due to insurance reasons, all players must be over 10 years of age to play paintball - most other sites require 12 and over, but due to Campaign's 25 year 100% safety record, we can take younger ones.
